Client Advocate – Make a Difference, Help Others Find Stability and Hope Catholic Charities is hiring a part-time Client Advocate to support individuals and families facing housing or economic instability. You'll provide strength-based case management, connect clients to critical resources, and help them build paths toward lasting stability—all in a welcoming, mission-driven environment. Position Highlights: $20.70 - $22/hour | 28 hours/week | Mon–Fri, 8:30 am–4:00 pm Paid time off plus 15 paid holidays (including your birthday!) The ideal Client Advocate is both compassionate and efficient and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Requirements Minimum requirements to be eligible for the role. Education & Experience: H.S. diploma/equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human services field preferred. Experience with and sensitivity to issues affecting low income and homeless populations. Two years of experience in the human services field preferred. Knowledge & Skills: Bilingual or fluent (English/Spanish), is not required but a plus. Empathetic and compassionate character with excellent communication (verbal and written), problem solving, listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form and maintain positive work relationships. Strong interpersonal professional relationships which encourage openness, candor, and trust both internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to apply culturally appropriate skills in interactions with clients, co-workers, volunteers, partner agencies, and other community members. Authentic personal commitment to Catholic Social Teaching. Ability and willingness to work within the established structure of the Castle Rock Department and Catholic Charities. High level of self-motivation, enthusiasm, and team-oriented work ethic, with the ability to prioritize projects and manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and multitask in a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment. Basic math and analytical skills to perform calculations (e.g., budgeting, income vs expense, monthly vs annually) and interpret results to support case management. Training will be provided to help assist families with budgeting during assessments. Ability to follow directions and interpret policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office suite. Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping. Demonstrated self-starter and ability to work independently with little supervision. Other Requirements: Ability to travel by automobile, as needed, in the course of the position. Occasional evenings and weekends are required to accommodate meetings and special events. Must successfully complete background clearance.
