Hydrogeologist/Geologist Position Overview We are seeking an
experienced Geologist or Hydrogeologist with 5–10 years of
professional experience in environmental monitoring, data
evaluation, and field investigation. The ideal candidate will have
a strong technical background in geology, hydrogeology, and
environmental science, with experience designing and implementing
field programs, interpreting environmental data, and preparing
high-quality technical reports. This role requires both independent
problem-solving and effective teamwork with technical and project
management staff. Key Responsibilities Data Evaluation & Technical
Analysis Analyze and interpret hydrogeologic, water quality, and
water level data to evaluate contaminant distribution, migration
pathways, and remedial effectiveness. Prepare data visualization
products such as hydrographs, potentiometric maps, contaminant
plume maps, cross-sections, and time-series trends. Contribute to
the design and evaluation of groundwater remediation systems,
monitoring programs, and site/design investigations. Reporting &
Documentation Prepare clear, well-structured technical reports
including work plans, monitoring reports, and data summary
technical summaries. Maintain accurate field notes and data quality
records. Support proposal development, including writing scopes of
work and estimating labor and field costs. Environmental Field Work
& Monitoring Oversee drilling, well installation, development, and
aquifer testing activities. Develop environmental monitoring
programs, including long-term groundwater monitoring and
performance tracking for remediation systems. Manage field teams,
subcontractors, and logistics to ensure safe and efficient field
operations. Regulatory & Compliance Work within federal, state, and
local regulatory frameworks (e.g., EPA, CDPHE, and Adams County
Health Department). Communicate with regulatory agencies as
required to support project activities. Ensure all field operations
follow safety, environmental, and quality standards. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology,
Hydrogeology, Earth/Environmental Science, or related field. 5–10
years of relevant experience in environmental consulting,
hydrogeology, or contaminated site assessment. Strong working
knowledge of groundwater flow principles, site investigation
methods, and environmental sampling techniques. Proficiency with
environmental data analysis software (e.g., Excel, ArcGIS,
Access/database platforms, ChemStat/statistical software programs).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience
preparing client-ready reports. Familiarity with health & safety
practices. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with remediation
system design, operation, or performance monitoring. Groundwater
modeling experience (numerical and analytical models). Aquifer
testing and data evaluation experience related to design
investigations. OSHA HAZWOPER (40-hour) certification Key
Competencies Strong writing, analytical, and problem-solving
skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and project
priorities. High attention to detail and commitment to data
quality. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively
across multidisciplinary teams. Due to the nature of the government

Compensation: $70,000 to $85,000 per year. In accordance with the
