Veterinary Dentistry Technician Colorado Animal Specialty &
Emergency (CASE) in Boulder, CO, is a leading provider of specialty

relationships. We are currently seeking a Dentistry Technician to
join our team! General Overview: In this Dentistry Technician
position, you will work as a part of the Dentistry team to ensure
exceptional patient care and provide overall support and assistance
to all CASE departments, doctors, and hospital team members.
Location: Boulder, CO Compensation: Registered Veterinary
Technicians $25 - $34 based on experience and skills assessment
Veterinary Technician Specialists $35 - $40 based on experience and
skills assessment Anticipated Schedule: Full Time 4 x 10 hour
shifts Duties & Responsibilities: Proficiency in creating patient
estimates for dental patients Proficiency in obtaining patient
medical history Proficiency in admitting and discharging patients
within the Dentistry Service Demonstrate exceptional client
communication and education as well as assisting with scheduling
appointments, procedures and advanced imaging Practices proper and
safe patient restrain of the Dental patients Proficiency in
performing general venipuncture, peripheral catheter placement and
maintenance Proficiency in dental prophylaxis Proficiency in dental
imaging Demonstrate knowledge in handling/names of surgical
instruments Dental anesthesia-related skills and responsibilities:
Perform pre-anesthesia examination to determine safety and reis for
dentistry cases Implement prescribed anesthetic plans from
pre-anesthesia through recovery including monitoring throughout
Perform patient pain assessments and develop proposed analgesic
plans for surgery cases using multimodal pain management techniques
Understand and use CASE anesthesia monitoring forms/protocols
Proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting anesthesia machinery
Understand hemodynamics of anesthesia-related hypotension and
possess ability to trouble shoot anesthetic complications
Accurately evaluate a patient’s ventilation and oxygenation status
utilizing pulse oximetry and capnography Qualifications: Certified
Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with at least 2 years of
applicable experience Knowledge of basic veterinary practices,
procedures and terminology Ability to appropriately handle, lift
and restrain animals (dogs, cats) and stand for long periods of
time. Ability to communicate well with other CASE staff members
Strong written and verbal communication skills Fluent English
skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in
multiple languages a plus! Ability to multi-task and produce
