Job Description:

UCHealth, a leader in healthcare innovation and patient care, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Neurological Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU). This position requires a compassionate professional who is prepared to work in a fast-paced and highly specialized unit providing critical care to patients with severe neurological conditions. Our rotating shift schedule allows nurses the flexibility to manage their lives outside of work while maintaining a committed presence at our state-of-the-art facilities. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Neuro ICU setting based on standards of care and professional nursing practice. Assess neurological status and vital signs, administer medications, and monitor for side-effects. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Adjust interventions based on patient status. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes. Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment, and home care preparation. Supervise and mentor nursing staff and assist with training and development. Strong clinical skills with a focus on neurologic critical care Ability to operate complex medical machinery Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification CNRN (Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse) certification preferred
