As a Travel RN specializing in Cardiac Intensive Care, you will be instrumental in providing top-tier care to patients with critical cardiac conditions. Your role will involve applying advanced clinical skills in a high-stakes environment, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and care prescribed by UCHealth. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients with severe cardiac conditions. Assess patient conditions through vigilant monitoring and astute clinical assessments. Administer medications, monitor cardiac and other vital parameters, and maintain records of patient status. Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment, and self-care skills. Ensure that care delivered is reflective of UCHealth’s protocols for safety, effectiveness, and patient-centeredness. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Proficient in using medical software for patient monitoring and record keeping Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to thrive in a dynamic and potentially stressful environment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado Certification in Cardiac-Vascular Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) preferred
