Job Title: Paramedic Profession: Nursing Specialty: Paramedic Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Varies - All Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Current Paramedic license as per state regulations Certifications: Emergency medical certifications as required by the state Must-Have: - Direct patient care experience - Proficient in emergency medications administration - Knowledge of patient assessment and documentation procedures Description: Provides direct patient care within the scope of license or under the supervision of a physician and within pre-established rules, regulations, and protocols. Administers emergency medications in accordance with state regulations. Accurately performs complete population-specific patient assessments. Establishes care priorities and renders appropriate care. Accurately documents assessments and treatments using the reporting system in accordance with state statutes. Assures that ambulances and stations are maintained, clean, stocked, and ready for service at all times. When requested, assists with the medical treatment of patients in other departments under the direction of the provider and RN within their scope of practice. Prioritizes tasks and manages time, personnel, and resources to meet department goals and standards. Handles other duties as assigned.
