Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description:

Position Overview (Denver Candidates Only Please) The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing financial performance, supporting strategic initiatives, and enhancing reporting and forecasting capabilities. This position requires a strong understanding of the construction, heavy equipment, or manufacturing industries. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with data analytics tools like Power BI or SQL and be comfortable building complex queries and reports. Key Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and analyze financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning • Partner with project managers and operations to provide financial insights and performance tracking on active jobs • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, dashboards, and KPIs for senior leadership • Build and optimize SQL queries and Power BI dashboards for real-time financial and operational insights • Analyze job costs, margins, variances, and financial trends to identify risks and opportunities • Collaborate with accounting during month-end close to ensure accurate job costing and reporting • Evaluate capital expenditures, equipment utilization, and return on investment for strategic decision-making • Support external audits and internal compliance requirements as needed Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field • 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within construction, heavy equipment, or manufacturing • Proficiency with financial systems and tools; strong Power BI and/or SQL skills required • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Viewpoint Vista, Sage, JD Edwards, or similar) • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to synthesize complex data • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment What We Offer • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) with company match • Opportunities for professional growth and development • A collaborative, hands-on team environment LI-BO1 INAPR2025
