Job Description:
Swedish Medical Center, a part of the HealthONE network, is
seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator for our Mother-Baby
Unit. This role is pivotal in managing the day-to-day operations of
our unit, ensuring that our standards of high-quality,
patient-centered care are upheld. The Coordinator will have the
opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art hospital, providing
guidance and leadership to nursing staff while overseeing the
comprehensive care of postpartum mothers and their newborns.
Responsibilities include staff management, coordinating patient
care, maintaining safety and compliance, and enhancing patient
satisfaction and outcomes. Oversee the nursing staff and daily
operations of the Mother-Baby Unit. Develop and implement policies
and procedures that enhance patient care and adhere to regulatory
standards. Coordinate the delivery of patient care provided by team
members, ensuring it meets the highest standards of safety,
effectiveness, and efficiency. Act as a primary liaison between
physicians, staff, and patients, managing communications and
resolving conflicts. Monitor and evaluate patient care activities
and outcomes, modifying plans and instructions as needed. Ensure
compliance with health and safety guidelines to create a safe
environment for patients and staff. Organize and lead training
sessions for new nurses and ongoing professional development for
the unit. Strong leadership and mentorship skills Excellent verbal
and written communication skills Ability to handle high-stress,
fast-paced environments Highly organized and detail-oriented
Compassionate patient care with a focus on maternal and infant
